It became known that Xiaomi developers have expanded testing of HyperOS 2 firmware based on Android 16 to 11 Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices, including global models.
It is not entirely clear why the manufacturer decided to release such a large number of HyperOS 2 updates based on Android 16, because it is not so long to wait for HyperOS 3, built on the final release of Android 16, but network sources are confident in this information.
The extensive release plan shows Xiaomi’s commitment to providing innovative software to its international user community.
Anyway, Chinese insiders cite such a list of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices, for which, according to them, internal testing of updates based on Android 16 is underway.:
