It has long been no secret that Xiaomi is preparing an update of its first “clamshell” Xiaomi Mix Flip (announcement), which predictably will receive the trade name Xiaomi Mix Flip 2.
Some details on the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 have already appeared online, and today the well-known network informant Digital Chat Station told on his page on the Chinese social network Weibo about the timing of the new product’s release to the market and about its battery.
To be more precise, the Mix Flip 2 will have a 5,100 mAh battery, which is more than its predecessor with its 4,780 mAh, but less than the previously rumored 5,700 mAh. Apparently, it is technically problematic to squeeze a large battery into a compact folding device.
The source also says that Mix Flip 2 will be launched in the second quarter of this year, that is, between April and June. Moreover, previous rumors talked about its appearance in the first half of the year, so now we have a narrower scope.
With a high degree of probability, Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will receive the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite single-chip system from Qualcomm developers, working in conjunction with decent sets of RAM and internal memory, and a major update on the sensors of the main camera is also expected.
