A couple of days ago, Xiaomi developers began deploying a major HyperOS 2.2 update, which will bring many improvements and innovations to compatible Xiaomi and Redmi devices, and today the manufacturer named the key “chips” of HyperOS 2.2.
We are talking about an extended lock screen setting in HyperOS 2.2, for which users will be able to choose shortcuts for quick access themselves – a flashlight, a camera, a compass, a stopwatch, a calculator, a voice recorder, and music recognition.
Additional customization of the HyperOS 2.2 status bar, for which you can select permanently displayed icons, such as Internet speed, Bluetooth status, or battery charge of paired devices. In addition, it will be possible to hide or change the name of the mobile operator.
Camera 6.1 as part of HyperOS 2.2 (how to download?) The interface has been updated, and the night mode will automatically activate in low light conditions. However, manual control of this mode will not go away.
By the way, the first stable builds of HyperOS 2.2 for smartphones in the series have already been released today.:
- Xiaomi 15: OS2.0.205.0.VOCCNXM
- Xiaomi 15 Pro: OS2.0.205.0.VOBCNXM
- Xiaomi 15 Ultra: OS2.0.205.0.VOACNXM
It is also worth noting that the official list for HyperOS 2.2, which we published in this article, contains only Chinese Xiaomi and Redmi models. So the release of major HyperOS 2.2 updates for global devices remains questionable.
In fact, HyperOS 2.2 does not exist – that’s what insiders call major updates with firmware numbers like OS2.0.2 xx, and Xiaomi itself calls them HyperOS 2.
P.S. We collect all the most interesting HyperOS 2.2 updates here, and you can find all the most interesting news about the HyperOS firmware in general in this section.
