The other day, we published a summary of the problems that owners of various Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models complain about after receiving the global HyperOS 2 update on the device (details), however, more and more firmware is coming out and, accordingly, the identified errors in HyperOS 2 are not getting smaller and their number is growing.
Recall that in the “first part” of the collection of problems with HyperOS 2, users noted the following:
- The smartphone is slowing down – mainly the Redmi and Poco models
- Small desktop application icons
- Inconvenient Desktop Grids
- Problems with fingerprint scanner activation and graphic key recognition

Now this list can be supplemented with such “troubles”:
1. Fast battery discharge. Complaints from Xiaomi owners about the rapid discharge of the battery began to appear. However, there are relatively few of them, which is strange, since there were noticeably more problems with receiving the first HyperOS and later MIUI numbers.
After installing HyperOS 2, the Redmi Note 12 4G began to drain the battery very quickly, even at night when it was just lying down – up to 0%.
2. Accidental reset of desktop settings. Quite a large number of users note periodic resetting of desktop settings. This happens both randomly and when trying to change the theme, icons, or individual components of the theme.
The HyperOS 2 update has arrived on my Redmi Note 13 4G, and now changing the theme, theme icons, or a separate theme component resets the default desktop (mixed icons) and reduces the brightness bar to a minimum.
The Hyper OS 2 update has arrived. Now, if you want to change your desktop wallpaper, your smartphone freezes on “layer detection”. Whether it’s a picture from a gallery or some kind of image from a Theme, not stock ones, everything is fine with default ones. Does anyone know how to solve the problem? I downloaded and installed the full version of the firmware, reset the Theme and Gallery applications – to no avail. Poco X6 Pro 5G.
3. The lack of declared AI functions. Quite a few owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco say that global updates of HyperOS 2 do not bring the stated AI-related functions to the devices. Moreover, they are indicated in the change logs.
I have a Redmi Note 13 4G NFC that has been upgraded to Hyper OS 2.0.5.0 VNHRUXM. What I’m facing: there are no announced “Artistic Lock Screen” functions, there are no expected artificial intelligence functions, and the smartphone has noticeably slowed down when unlocking and launching applications.
4. Problems with the mobile Internet. There are also user requests regarding the operation of the mobile Internet, which appeared after receiving HyperOS 2 – it periodically disappears or works extremely unstable.
Who also started using the Internet after upgrading to HyperOS 2? What to do? Sometimes outgoing packets go, but incoming packets don’t. Turning off and on the Internet and airplane mode does not help, rebooting the smartphone does not help, only completely turning off and on the phone solves the problem, but temporarily.

Good evening everyone, I upgraded to HyperOS 2.0 and, to be honest, I really want to roll back: the animation is lame, the icons look small and asymmetrical on the desktop, the settings have been changed, the translation is not high-quality, large caches from system applications, the dual clock does not turn off, personalization is so-so.
