HyperOS 2.1 Updates
In particular, it is reported that Xiaomi developers are actively preparing for the release of major updates to HyperOS 2.1, which will be numbered OS2.0.10 x.0. There is no logic here and it is not entirely clear why OS2.1.x.0 is not available.
Although back in December it was said that soon the first updates for Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco will be released with new features that will carry the numbers HyperOS 2.0.101, 2.0.202, 2.0.303 and so on.
But minor updates to HyperOS 2 that fix the identified bugs or, if there are none, bring fresh Android security patches of the HyperOS 2.0.1, 2.0.2, HyperOS 2.0.3, etc. nomenclature. In other words, the average user may become completely confused about these numbers.
For whom will HyperOS 2.1 updates be released?
In any case, this is all relevant only for Chinese HyperOS 2 assemblies, which are released more often than global ones, and with noticeably more functionality, which is being mercilessly curtailed outside the Middle Kingdom.
However, HyperOS 2 globals may also come out in the form of relatively large updates like HyperOS 2.1, but it is highly doubtful that new firmware for global device models will be released 12 times a year.
