During the India Mobile Congress 2024 conference, Xiaomi quietly held a global release of the affordable Redmi A4 5G smartphone, which is built on a modest Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor and runs on “pure” Android.
The Redmi A4 5G was also equipped with a 6.88-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels and a frame rate of 90 Hz, a 50-megapixel main camera complemented by a 2 MP macro module, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5160 mAh battery, which is unlikely to support charging power above 18 watts.
In addition, LPDDR4X RAM, a UFS 3.1 flash drive, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless modules, as well as a GPS receiver are mentioned.

During the presentation, Xiaomi did not officially announce the price tag for the Redmi A4 5G, however, according to rumors, it will not exceed $ 120 and, apparently, the novelty will become one of the most affordable smartphones with support for 5G networks.
It is also unclear whether the Redmi A4 5G will be offered in other countries or whether the new Redmi brand will remain exclusive to the Indian market, which is quite possible.
