Xiaomi developers have shared with the public the latest “HyperOS Optimization Report” for the past week, which contains current issues and bugs in the HyperOS 1 and HyperOS 2 Global updates.
These “troubles” in the stable global builds of HyperOS 1/2 were identified directly by users of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices, and officially confirmed by the manufacturer.
Note that the published bulletin is quite large-scale, which leads the owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco to not the most cheerful reflections.
New challenges in Global HyperOS 2
- It is not possible to stream in HD resolution on Netflix on Xiaomi 11T with OS1.0.15.0.UKWMIXM, OS1.0.15.0.UKWEUXM and OS1.0.12.0.UKWIDXM firmware. The issue has been resolved in the latest version of the Netflix app.
- It is not possible to turn off the device after pressing the power button. Affected devices – all affected versions of HyperOS – all builds based on Android 15.
Status: It’s planned. According to Google’s requirements, the power button must be changed to activate the Gemini function, and the combination of the power button and the volume up button can be used to turn off or restart the device.
To turn off or restart the device using the power key: Go to Settings – Advanced Settings – Gesture Shortcuts and select Press and hold the power button for 0.5 seconds or Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
Xiaomi specialists who are refining the system software also provided a list of those errors in the global updates of HyperOS 2, which they seem to have solved and will be fixed with the next updates.
