Xiaomi has shown the first hint of the future HyperOS 3 firmware by releasing the HyperConnect Interconnectivity Services application (package: com.xiaomi.mirror), which has been updated to version 17.00.01, which clearly indicates the development of HyperOS 3.
Xiaomi’s trend towards releasing new versions of its software has definitely been consistent, which allows us to make some assumptions about future releases.:
- MIUI 15 was renamed HyperOS 1, and the apps received version V15.
- HyperOS 2 (MIUI 16, if that’s what it was called) comes with V16 apps.
- The leaked V17 application clearly indicates that HyperOS 3 is actively being developed.
However, HyperConnect Interconnectivity Services retains the same user interface design as before, only the version number has been updated to 17.00.01. This means that no visual changes have been made yet, but the HyperOS 3 system is under development.

According to Xiaomi’s traditional release calendar, HyperOS 3 is expected to be released for Chinese users in October 2025, and we will see the first global builds of HyperOS 3 towards the end of the year.
