Immediately after the announcement of the new HyperOS 2 system powered by the proprietary HyperCore engine (details), which also promises improved performance, smoother animations and a bunch of AI chips, Xiaomi announced a roadmap for the release of new firmware for Chinese models.
The Xiaomi 15 flagships, which are about to officially premiere, will run HyperOS 2 out of the box based on the Android 15 operating system. Next, in November, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi Mix Flip and Redmi K70 devices will receive the new system.
In December, they will be joined by devices that are another year older, as well as all current tablet models, and in 2025 we will see a massive switch to HyperOS 2 smartphones from the Redmi brand (starting with the Redmi Note 11T), the Xiaomi Civi series, starting with the Civi 2, as well as some other gadgets.
