Make sure that the account you are logged in with has the necessary permissions for Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco - what should I do?

In recent days, Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco users have begun complaining that when they try to view the list of changes to the HyperOS firmware, they receive a notification saying “You do not have permission to access the list of changes. Make sure that the account you are logged in with has the necessary permissions.”

First of all, such messages, which began to appear back in the days of MIUI 12, are displayed when unofficial firmware is installed on your smartphone or tablet Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco or the bootloader is unlocked.

If the device is running the official HyperOS firmware and the bootloader is not unlocked, then there is nothing to worry about at all – this HyperOS update has been withdrawn for some reason and everything will be fine later.

P.S. Other instructions on configuring the HyperOS software platform and using its features on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices are available on our website in this section.
